*hands brain bleach* I might have linked to this already, but it's such a beautiful fanfic: www.fanfiction.net/s/4479631/1/AlwaysIt has happened: www.fanfiction.net/s/4031557/1/One_Step_CloserI'm going to make sure he gets injured in my fanfic too. Well, I'm going to pretend I know all about this ( and I don't XD ) and say that it takes a while to get used to parenting. I think it was especially hard for him since he had a kingdom to look after, but once again, our favorite mermaid surely helped him along a lot. Then he'd have to balance his duties with spending time with Melody. Eric doesn't come off as a workaholic to me, but he most likely is a hard worker, but he can sort of balance that with family time as well. I thnk he might have had a little trouble getting used to both being a father and a king, but I'm sure a few years helped.

He gets injured in Until We Meet Again, but not my other one. At least, not that I know of.

Eww! Horrible image to place into my mind! LOL. I can see Eric at the most getting to be John Smith's size when he gets to be an older guy. But IMHO, he don't have the have to genes to get huge like Herc or Gaston. and again, I think he's perfect the size he is *snert* Yeah, Peter Pan has the body of a twelve year old boy, which does not appeal to me at all LOL, I think Justin Timberlake is actually cute, and he amuses me greatly on SNL oooh! I need to read those fics!

Agreed, but despite being the Superman build, I still think that Tom Welling should be considered to be cast as Eric in a live-action TLM adaption. No this has nothing to do with me being a huge fangirl and a Smallville buff. He plays Clark so well, and Clark's such a nerd, and Eric is really the first "nerdy/Peter Parker" Disney Prince.
Frankly, I don't find Pan attractive at all ( next to our favorite sailor, who would? LOL ).

He could be a good choice to play a live-action Eric. He's got the right looks.

Much as I love Tom Welling and Sean Maher and think they'd do great, both of them are already in their 30s, so agewise it'd be a bit of a stretch even if they started filming/staging tomorrow.
Someone I think'd be good, though most of you probably haven't heard of him, is a guy named Darrren Criss. As of right now he's best know for playing the part of Harry Potter in the fan-made parody "A Very Potter Musical", though he does have a recurring role in the new TV show Eastwick (which I have yet to see).
Part one of the musical. Here's him, a little less Harry-fied, again singing the opening song, but in a concert setting.
UPDATE:
He also has a POYW cover. LOL

He's darling. I told ya that. LOL, I was thinking if I had a time machine and was in charge of TLM live action movie, I'd get Sean from when Firefly was on the air, and Reese Witherspoon from about the time she did the first Legally Blonde. *snert at the idea of SImon and Elle as a couple* ^^ But yes, Darren Criss has my approval LOL! I was also browsing the other day, and I found out Eric had a mention on the show 30 Rock. Tina Fey's character has a boyfriend (who's an utter moron, but because he's so pretty no has the nerve to tell him) Anyway, at some point in the episode they're looking at old pictures of him and she's gawking at his old high school pictures and he says to her "“They used footage of me from my high school swim team to draw Prince Eric.” Is it sad that mad me smile? XD I wonder if Tina Fey is an Eric-Lover? Of course that would only make her more awesome in my eyes XD

That would lead me to believe that one of the writers is a closet TLM fan. It's nice to see TLM references showing up on TV.

LOL, if I can figure out how to manipulate the files on my itunes (Yes, I'm a nerd and bought the one episode for that line ) then I'll try and upload it on youtube. It made me smile, and also curious about what Jon Hamm looked like when he was 18. I think he'd be a *lovely* older Eric, and Kristin Chenoweth has my vote for older Ariel too

Okay, so this may not be the best expression, but I think if he had some super blue contacts in he'd look wondeful as Older!Eric *grins*

*Ahem* You know you're unhealthily obsessed with TLM when...
Oh, please. I think most of us fall into that category. If we made one of those threads, it would never end. XD
Kristin Chenoweth as older!Ariel? My, yes. Except now older!Ariel is singing "Popular" in my head. Weird, weird image.

Gack! How could we let our beloved thread be dormant for so long. All right, topic for discussion: Assuming Ariel wasn't a factor, who could you see Eric being in a relationship with? Feel free to go outside Disney.

First, good to have you back, Elphie. Second, I agree, this thread's been quiet for far too long. Third, here is my response:
I think Eric would always need someone unorthodox. I think that appeals to the "bad boy" in him. I'm not saying that he's going to run off with someone who'd be complete trouble, but it would have to be a girl that would test limits and keep him on his toes.
That being said, I think that he'd work with Elizabeth Bennet or a character of the like. I think that her wit and unashamed outspoken personality would be just the thing to pique Eric's interests. I think he find in her an intellectual equal as well as someone unafraid to try new experiences and test her own capabilities, which he would both appreciate and admire. And I think she would respect the fact that he's someone of rank and title who thinks absolutely nothing of it. She'd recognize a fellow person who just wants to be appreciated for who they are as opposed to what they are. (As a side note, I just have to say that I've watched numerous movie adaptations of Pride and Prejudice but I cannot read it. I've tried four times. I always get to the part when Jane gets sick and Elizabeth walks in the rain to get to her and I get dreadfully bored. I know, this means that I'm not a girl. You may judge accordingly.)
I'll try to think of anyone else but for right now, Elizabeth is my candidate.

Oh, Elizabeth WOULD be a good choice. Though, I can't help but also love River Tam for Eric.
Also, I love Elphaba for Eric, depending on if you want to go with Book!verse or Musical!verse, probably a mix.
Aquisha, you're diffnitely right. I can see Eric as wanting someone who encourages him to wave his freak flag, while also can understand him, whom he can also carry an intelligent conversation with (River might be a little hard, but he'd still love her xD)
