Has anyone else lived with noisy neighbors? Their annoying music likes to creep into this room (or shake the house) in the summertime. -grumbles-

No, not really. So far all of the neighbors I've had are well behaved. But one of our houses doesn't count because the closest neighbor was a mile away.

Well, I'm afraid the people across the street from me are going to do something very bad Very strange people.

Strange neighbors can be interesting or terrifying. Had a set of neighbors once who very firmly fell into the middle of that.

Never had any strange neighbors, just a set of annoying ones. She's my age, but she's the type of teenager who likes to throw large parties and invite obnoxious people to her pool. What I wouldn't give to live in the real back country, where your only neighbors are separated by moose and farmland! My family owns a condo in the--er--front country? north of here (my relatives used to go there for snowmobiling, but I think we're the only ones there now), so I can just leave and take a walk through the woods. Love it! We haven't been up there in a while, but the merlin hawks are back and I want to see them. There are places there where houses are separated by miles, and how I want to live there. People say this town is too small for them, but I think it's too big!
I actually went on a commuter train for the first time a couple weeks ago. XD We couldn't figure out how to use the ticket-gate things.

I love being out in the country! New York was a nice place to visit but I'd never be really happy living there. Give me wide open spaces and miles of quiet please.

Mmmhmm. Most people here want out, and out into bigger places, but I'd love to live somewhere where I couldn't see another house. What was the country like down in Louisiana?

Rural farmland and flat as a pancake! I used to live by the Mississippi River. Anything over 150 feet above sea level makes my ears pop and can cause nosebleeds.

I take it you wouldn't survive at ten times that height, eh? It's seldom hot enough to need more than a fan and the icicles grow scarily big on the deck roof. The good news is that cell phone service is top-notch everywhere. XD And the maple syrup! I *heart* that stuff and I'll never ever shut up about it but it's always drool-worthy and at every farmer's market. I can never find it down south (South meaning suburbs of Boston) and it's always so expensive.

I'm the same way with shrimp. I only buy Gulf shrimp.
No, I don't do well with heights. I'm going to Denver in September for a conference and it's going to be interesting to say the least.

A writer's conference? I know a lot of those go on in Denver.
I'm in the theater waiting for the midnight showing of Harry Potter with my friends. The line stretched out the door and around the building, and we came early compared to other people. There's a Hagrid seeing it too, complete with a pink umbrella. Can't wait to see the film! Thank Poseidon cell phone service is free at this hour. XD

I'm a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers. Conference this year is in Denver and I'm so excited! Can't wait to see the city. They always pick awesome hotels too. Last year it was in Minneapolis so I got to see the Mall of America, and actually bought a pair of shoes there.

Must've been so expensive, though! We were actually going to go to the Mall of America before we decided on Pennsylvania. I hope you have fun anyway, and don't bleed to death in the middle of Rocky Mountain high. (:

I only wear Easy Spirits, and they were on sale! Plus there's no sales tax on shoes and clothes in Minnesota. Thought that was cool.

There's no sales tax period here, in contrast to Taxachusetts. XD We actually have a mall with the parking lot in Mass and the actual mall in New Hampshire, as to avoid the sales tax. I don't go there often, but you get a lot of Mass traffic as well as southern New Hampshire-ites.
Senior pictures today! Aaaah! My hairstylist had just dyed her hair red and she made a comment that she looked like Ariel. I fangirled in my head and we ended up talking about TLM, Glen Keane, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

One can find TLM fans in the strangest places!
Sales tax in Louisiana, where I lived all my life, is 9%. On EVERYTHING. The flip side is LA has the lowest property and income taxes in the country. I'm not sure what it is here in Mississippi. Need to look on my Wal-Mart receipt this afternoon and see.

Everybody comes to NH to shop. And see the pretty leaves in autumn, which clogs the Notch like crazy. Everybody goes to the same place!
In spring and summer we don't get a lot of tourists, but July 4th at the Mt. Washington hotel brings a lot of people in. It's always amazing, and you don't have to stay there to attend. Good news since a room there would pulverize wallets nationwide.

Down here, pretty fall leaves don't exist. I would love to get up to the Northeast some fall just to see some real, beautiful color. We get excited over anything that's not brown!

LOL! No joke- crab legs are my favorite food! Crab legs are my favorite too! I just went to Red Lobster last night and got the Ultimate Feast--which is like all my favorite seafood combined: crab legs, lobster tail, and shrimp! Sorry, Sebastian XD

I'm a seafood lover too. I just can't give it up, no matter how much I love TLM.
