It's about time we got a Firefly thread!

Thank you, WickedElphie, for spawning yet another Firefly fangirl. I normally don't pay attention to TV dramas but I gladly make the exception for this show. I've only seen four episodes so far, but it's too gripping for words.

Yes, Elphie has gotten me adicted too! Seriously, this show was so awesome. Why on earth do the networks do... what networks do? ::blinks::

I LOVE the whole cast too. Everyone is just perfect for their role. And Simon! Yowza! Yes, he gets my vote as live action!Eric.

Hmm, I need to make an icon with Simon on one side and Mal on the other wth it saying, "My husband and my boyfriend" XD

I must admit that I call out my dad for yelling at the TV during sports games, but I understand his thinking now that I've seen Firefly. "Stop it, Simon!"

I had the exact same reaction as Simon when River told him that the berries he ate were poisonous. XD

The characters all play against each other so well! You can tell their wants, their fears, their quirks, everything! And the lighting, the special effects, the themes...why didn't I watch this show before?

Don't feel bad. Most people discovered the show after it was cancelled. I myself saw the movie sequel "Serenity" first, then caught a bunch of episodes on Scifi, and then borrowed the DVDs from the library.

I love Firefly! It's one of the best television shows ever! (It's hard to call it the best with awesome shows like Supernatural xD) The cast is great, and they have awesome scripts! I love Joss Whedon!

LOL. It's funny since I know a lot of people who loved Serenity, but when I told them about Firefly they were like "Wait? There was a show?! Why didn't I know that?" XD

Yep, that was my reaction as well. I literally had no idea there was a show that was behind that movie.

I just watched the first episode, and it was pretty good. I'm not really into the whole Sci-fi thing, but the story is great and words can't describe Simon XD. I can see why everyone's saying he's the perfect live-action Eric.

Ling TOTALLY works as Wash. Also now that I think about it while Belle works as River I could also see Melody in trh role. Part of this is because I happened to browse the Fantasmic RP and there Melody has...issues.

And now I'm imagining Sebastian telling Eric about the special hell. *lol.*

LOL. Elle does such an amazing job with Melody. I was so impressed she didn't make her into an instant cheer-leader type. LOL But just for family thing I'm still going with Belle for River. Granted she didn't have the "issues" River did, but if things had ended differently in BatB where she married Gaston-- then she'd be crazy pretty quickly. LOL

XD The 'Special Hell' will always amuse me!

My creative writing teacher looks exactly like Mal. It's scary. He's having a Firefly-themed wedding and everyone's waiting for him to get the brown shirt. XD

Do you know if the Serenity on Hulu complete? I've seen Serenity clips and I don't remember watching any of that.

They're just clips from the film, not the whole thing, but yeah they're in the finished film.

BTW Have you guys seen this?


A warning, it's a chronicle of River's deteriorating mental state after joining "The Academy" and as such it's rather disturbing and there is some creepy violence.

Hey did they ever make a point that Simon and River's parents KNEW what the Aliance was doing to her, or am I forgeting something?

In "Safe" they are very reluctant to believe Simon when he tells them something's not right. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the original version of the script ether implied r out-right stated that Mommy and Daddy Tam were at least somewhat aware of what had happened. *Googles*
