OMG!!! Saw it last night and it was awesome!!!!! Definitely in the top 3 of best Star Trek movies.
Being a Trek fan there are several things that I nitpicked last night with my dad and sister, but overall it was wonderful. The cast was great and they really studied their characters. I swear the kid who played Chekhov had to have watched all of Chekhov's dialog at least a hundred times. It was spot-on.
As long as he doesn't try to mess with design too much I would totally watch move ST movies by Abrams and a TV show.

I really loved it too! I'm not any kind of hard-core Star Trek fan, but my Dad's kind of a fan and he liked it too.

Yep. OT: Hey, I am now an Esthetician at the best spa in town. I seriously love the place already, it's so beautiful in there and I'll already be making more than two hundred dollars month than I was making a few weeks ago.  |

Wow...I'm a little behind for this thread xD I saw the movie the day it came out and have since seen it in IMAX and I have seen it two other times! That's 4 times! That's how much I LOVED this movie! It is still my fav movie of the summer! This movie is slowly turning me into a Trekkie! I have since watched 3 of the original Trek movies and have started watching the original series. I'm totally in love with Zachary Quinto xDD |

I'm so glad this movie is tuning a whole new generation into the brilliance of Star Trek. I'm a Next Gener myself. Picard is hotness incarnate!
