I'm going to put my writer/marketing cap on and ask you a question. (I'm actively pursuing publication and blogging is a vital part of author marketing now)
What are YOU passionate about? Your blog needs to have passion or nobody will read it.You need to have a clear focus if you're serious about it.
For example, my blog (though dormant right now) is focused on history. Specifically on Russian and Southern history, and those odd little facts that you don't learn about in history books. I am Southern and live on land that had Civil War soldiers camped on it, and I'm passionate about Russia and have a heart for Russian orphans. So that's what I post about. After the wedding I'll be bringing my blog back to life and going back to a regular posting schedule.

Well, it isn't really about one particular subject, it's about anything that I wish to talk about. It's not uber-serious, I just like the idea of getting my thoughts out there. Just wanted to see what people would be interested in hearing my thoughts about.
To be honest, no one will read it, unless they don't see it, no matter how good it is or not. Once that happens, then I'll see how things progress.
