As stated above, do you think Slumdog Millionaire should've won the awards it won at the Academy Awards? Me personally, no, and quite honestly, it has to be one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen.

I haven't actually seen it, but I was not impressed with the reviews it got from the people I trust in that respect, nor did I think the songs were anything special. They were completely forgettable IMO.

Neither have I, however, just look at the plot. That type of movie has been overdone so many times, it's not even funny.
I know why it won a lot of awards, but I won't say, because of peoples' feelings.

I just saw it today and I loved it. That type of plot definitely has been overdone, but I thought the narrative was original around that. Not just because it's foreign--it's just a journey through the life of someone who wasn't supposed to "be" anything.

-shrug- I thought it was well-done, though I don't follow the awards and don't know which ones it recieved. I loved the colors and the lighting especially.

I don't know, I kind of liked the movie, especially since Dev Patel looks a bit like Aladdin!
