The POTO 25th Anniversary DVD comes out tomorrow in the US. I've been seriously counting down the days XD. Anyone else going to get it? I can't decide between the DVD and the Blu-Ray, because apparently they're a bit different.

I got the DVD on Tuesday. The person typing this message is a ghost, as Melissa has died from the awesomeness XD. Is the Blu-Ray supposed to be any different? On Youtube there were different shots of certain songs, but I feel like that was just because someone uploaded the European version. And yeah, now I'm totally buying this soundtrack and the one from LND. You have to tell me what you thought of it when you get it!  |

I am seriously in love. It's a trillion times better than the Gerard Butler movie and the staging is very very similar to the Broadway show. The book is identical or very close to it. I think about the only thing they nixed was Raoul 'jumping' in the lake. And of course, because it was a special performance they were able to fill the Masquerade scene instead of using dummies on the stair.
Sierra is excellent, as is the rest of the cast.

Isn't it? I watched both movies on Saturday to compare notes and I still like the 25th Anniversary better. Everything was beautiful, just beautiful <3. Besides Sierra I think Raoul was my favorite. I'm in love with Hadley Fraser right now, I just loved his voice XD. Masquerade was ten gazillion times more epic here than it was in the movie. I just loved everything about it.
