All right, here's a link to the book on Amazon www.amazon.com/Mermaid-Twist-Classic-Carolyn-Turgeon/dp/0307589978I would LOVE to do a TSG book discussion about this version of the story. Just a warning to younger members I do believe there are adult themes in it. Anyway, I think this story is over looked so more compared to Cinderella or Oz, and when I hear something new I automatically get excited. Having said that I really am hoping this is a good book. So are there any other takers?

Ooooh! Read some of the Amazon preview and I'll have to go library-hunting.

I'll order it on ebay this week since I'm so wanting to find out what the deal is and how well she fleshes the original charries.
Realistically lets start having the discussion in about three weeks? That way people have time to get the book then we can talk about it more in depth ^^

Might want to lengthen that time xD Being a CW major gives you a lot of other reading. And grr none of the Maine library systems seem to know who she is. Gotta borrow it somehow or buy it

LOL, okies lets go with five weeks then? We'll take it a chapter at a time and discuss that way everyone has enough time to get on the same page

That sounds good. I may actually be able to get it by then and read it. I'm in research mode right now and not letting myself start another novel. I've got a tome to read, about the financial side of cotton in the 19th century.

Sounds like an interesting book but I got a bunch of other books to read (both textbooks and children's books) so the Mermaid would have to wait for a bit.
