Who is excited for Pixar's upcoming movie, Brave? This movie will be Pixar's first fairy tale and first female-lead movie. Storyline: Princess Merida would rather be an archer than a traditional princess. What happens when she defies an old-age custom and has to undo a deadly curse before it's too late? Here is the teaser trailer: teaser-trailer.com/movie/brave/

Intriguing. Sounds like it's set in Scotland.

*raises hand* IIIII aaaaam! While I'm sure the plot and characters will be fantastic as always, I have this to say:
Pretty scenery. Pretty pretty green scenery. Pretty horsie. And did I mention the trees?
I've been frustrated with Pixar's sequel-making lately (although they do them so well) and it's great to see them branching out.

I saw Brave and it was dissapointing. Normally, I like characters that want to be something or want adventure (exs. Ariel, Belle, Pocahontas, Jasmine, Aladdin, Taran). But with Merida, I found her to be a bit bratty. She doesn't want to get married because she is not ready yet. She also doesn't like the idea of three men marrying her because they simply won her in a contest. I understand that she is angry about it but I would have like it better if she talked to her mother and father about it, instead of embarrassing them in the contest. Didn't it also occurred to her that the three men were feeling the same thing, too? I also agree with everybody when they said that the second act of the story was too much like "Brother Bear."
Okay, to put it simply, Brave had a few good moments, but it didn't blow me away like the other pixar movies did. It wasn't as funny and as heartwarming as the Toy Story 1-3, Finding Nemo, Up, Monster's Inc, and the Incredibles were.

What I only loved about Brave was the setting and the voice talent.
