Can any of us wait? XP I have the date marked on my calendar. They updated the official website too--I dunno how recently, but I just stumbled upon it. ETA: 0:13-onward showcases Prince Naveen. Maybe it's just me, but is anyone else getting major Eric vibes? Not Aladdin, not Herc. Just Eric. I'm not too concerned--people are complaining that Tiana's animated too much like Mulan and while I agree, the effect isn't overwhelming--but I wanted to know if anyone else got it. ETA: New trailer! The fart jokes are REALLY annoying and I officially despise the firefly, but everything else makes up for it. The lighting, the animation, the scenery... Still getting Eric vibes on Naveen, but it's not too distracting. I like the animation overall. And that LIGHTING. Ohmahgawd. -melts into a puddle of rainbows and happiness- |

LOL! Maybe the firefly is better in the movie in the long run.

I think all the Disney men need to take a good hard look at their birth certificates. Some kind of conspiracy is going on. XD However, the sheer amazingness of Dr. Facilier makes up for it 500%. I love him already. I thought it was Naveen's butt. -watches again- It WAS! But he had really big ears....maybe it was his brother/father or something. Oh my. I'll bet you somebody is going to get offended over that. And I hate the firefly even more now too.
The villian though... Wow!! It's about time we had another truly delicious, scary, evil Disney villain. Somebody to give Ursula and Maleficent a run for their money.
Yeah, I kind of get a little bit of Eric vibe too. But that's a good thing!

I'll bet, Rachel. Though I'm sure that's NOTHING compared to what people have said (and will say) about the "race issues" Disney's digging up. Somehow Tiana's either not black enough or too black. WTF? Can we just enjoy the movie and the diversity Disney's trying to achieve? Bum gag aside, that screenshot looks like (what I think is) Naveen's father involved with that blonde woman. Yay interracial ships! If that's what the screenshot implies, anyway.
Yes, yes, yes! I'm completely in love with the villain from the mere seconds of song I've heard. He seems so fresh and original, and that voice...-dies-

I dig interracial ships. Sometimes those are the most interesting. Heck, I'm in a real-life interracial 'ship! It's not as pronounced as if he was black, but we're definitely from two different gene pools. (But we're going to have the most adorable kids!)

Eric: Aladdin! I asked you to bring the coleslaw, since Naveen was bringing the potato salad, Now we have two kinds of potato salad and no coleslaw!

Yes, I'd like the race thing to put rest. It's true; there are awful people out there, who are prejudice, but there's a difference between deffending your race/culture and just being nit-picky. I remember someone was complaining on IMDB when plans of this movie first went into production about Emse and Pheobus as well as John and Poca. I was like. They *were* couples in real life/in the origanal story. Care to ever read or do some research?
I think Tiana and Naveen are going to be *so* cute, I think they might be one of my faves.

Crazies are in good company. (: And I think Naviana/Tianeen/Tiaveen/Naveen/Tiana is going on my list of awesome ships as well. But I'm trying to hold my judgment until I actually see the movie! The marketing's going around, too. I had to go to AC Moore the other day to restock on glass paint, and in the kid's craft section I saw...well, I don't know how to explain it. Those little peg things that you heat up and they stick together to make a picture? Uhm...whatever they're called. Like these things. But there was one package with Ariel on it, so I looked, and she was packaged with Tiana, too! Looks like our two best girls are getting together. XD I really wished I had my camera or a phone to take a picture. |

Neither did I. I haven't seen any more stuff, but from friends I've heard that the marketing is bubbling all across the stores. Can you believe that it's a little more than a month away? Oooh, I can't wait!

I LIKE THE VILLAIN TOO XD he seems really cool '__' there's a lot of princess and the frog stuff at the Disney store. I REALLY love Tiana's petal dress. it's so gorgeous.  UGH WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THE GOWNS THEY SELL BIGGER XD and sorry if this was posted already XD: i don't really like Naveen's outfit here. too much greenish i think a little bit puke-y looking LOL but it's not that bad. ANYONE ELSE GOING TO THE PREMIERE AT DISNEY STUDIOS?! |
