I have finally discovered the outright awesomeness of Phineas and Ferb. Anyone else watch it?

I adore this show. The writing is excellent and it has great messages. And I love that the main characters aren't nigh-sociopathic little brats who we're expected to sympathize with because they're in the openig credits, but sweet creative kids. For those not in the know, Phineas and Ferb centers on two stepbrothers of those names who try to make the most out of their summer vacation every day by doing different things such as building a roller coaster, traveling to outer-space, and reuniting their parents' favorite band as an anniversary surprise. At the same time their older sister Candace tries to "bust" them for their outlandish stunts to their parents (but somehow everything is always gone when she tries to prove it) and cope with her crush on a cute boy, while the boys' pet platypus Perry, actually a secret agent, dukes it out with the evil but incompetant Dr. Doofenshmirtz. And pretty much every story has at least one song in it. Normally the format is two 10-15 minute stories per half hour, but soemtimes they fill the whole show with a single story. "Dude We're Getting the Band Back Together," is the latter, and widely considered the show's best episode. There's one song that Candace sings that says Ferb was adopted.
I caught my dad watching it the other day! He loves Pinky and the Brain, so this is sort of right up his alley.

I think you might be confused. Ferb is the father's biological son and Candace and Phineas are the mother's biological kids. It's sort of a mini-Brady Bunch thing.

No worries. I don't think it comes up all that much in the show itself, but when I first got into the show I went on the TVtropes page, where it was mentioned.

I LOVE this show. I think the Perry and Dr. Doofenshmirtz segments and the incidental music with vocals that are stupidly specific to the plot are my favorite parts of the show.
I didn't know they were step-brothers, but I'm like Coral, I haven't seen more than a few dozen episodes. I think the writers of that show have a great sense of humor; it's not the kind of comedy that you find in shows meant for children/preteens. It's not as bizarre as Spongebob, while still being interesting, random, and at times, laugh out loud funny.
