Hey, y'all! This is me not doing my AP Bio homework, although I probably should have posted a thread like this a little sooner. Anyway, this is kind of a redundant place to post my photographs since I have a deviantART, but I'm a photographer for those of you who haven't seen my stuff. If you didn't guess that I'm a nature photographer, shame on you. (: I finally saved up for a spiffy new camera, so I'm psyched. Canon Digital Rebel XSi. Spiffy indeed. I'm hoping to replace my filters and expand beyond the kit lens, too. But for now, I have my baby. ...which reports that all my pictures following July 2008 were taken on the same day. O.o I've only got one photograph hosted beyond DA... ...but you can find the rest at zavi.deviantart.com/ [/shameless plug] What I REALLY came here to post about was glass painting! It's a fun hobby that I learned last year and I'm starting to really get into it. I've made a few gifts for friends, and I have some glassware ready for personal use. For my latest project, I'm replicating a familiar scene from a familiar movie... Hardest. Painting. EVER. Ye gods. It's still a WIP--got some color correction on some panels and some blank panels--but with all the frustration I've endured to pull it together thus far, I figured it was worth showing! Really wish you could see how it reacts to light, though. It's very entertaining to hold the thing back and forth in the lamp light. XD Done on (roughly) an 8x10 photo frame, and it's been around a month since I started.

That is a chilling photo, Mare. Sobering and beautiful.
Wow! It's looking good, from what I can tell. I love painted glass and have a painted glass suncatcher hanging in the window above my computer, but I've never tried to do it.

Thanks. The sleeves are horrible to work with as are the yellow-orange panels, but after a few adjustments I should have the thing finished. I've redone them at least three times.

Why haven't I added you either? I must say I love your taste in favorites, though. XP
I'm thinking of starting some mer-glassware after I finish the BatB stuff (and everything ELSE that I need to get done around here. -dies-). With college apps and general craziness, I don't think that'll be for a while.

Double post, but I never got around to uploading this. Here's the little gem that's been sitting in my window: Again, I wish y'all could see how it reacts to light. It looks very nice when the sun goes down and warms up the colors on the glass.

Been going on a graphics spree lately, mostly to keep sane between massive homework sessions. Winter break is almost upon me! PHOTOBUCKETPreview:
