I found out fairly recentley i'm going to FL for ten days starting Fraiday and I TOTALLY forgot to mention it. Mea culpa. I'll try and check in every few days.  |

Going up in the mountains tomorrow night. There's a library with computer access in town, so I'll take a walk up there to poke in and post. I may be back and forth, but it's likely that I'll stay there until late the 19th. College interview! They've got a spiffy Creative Writing program that I REALLY hope I get into. -prays-

Been having lotsa fun for the past few days. I don't think I'm coming back on the 19th, but I'll definitely be coming back on the 20th. Late or early I don't know.
A few days ago I started reading Stephen King's "On Writing" (good book! Finished and will no doubt reread) and wished that my life was as interesting as Stephen King's was. Immediately afterwards, I took my pup out for a walk at the pond. There wasn't anybody around so I took her off the leash. Everything's normal--we walk around and she goes fora swim--and a few minutes later, she heard some dogs barking and runs to investigate. Uh-oh!
I follow her and she's going waaaay off trail. I know there are bears in the area, so that's a little worrisome, and I keep following her until she's into a bunch of mud and water. She sniffs on through while I trip and get my shoes stuck. Then I can't see or hear her--now the freak-out really begins.
I keep wandering through the woods, having no idea where I am, until I reach some random trail. I can't hear a thing until a couple seconds later, when my dog comes trotting back for me. She gives me this expectant look: "What? You thought I didn't know where I was going?"
The moral of this story is never to wear kakhi pants while hiking. And be careful what you wish for, of course. XD Come on--that can't be a coincidence! I was literally covered in mud, as was the car when we went home.
