Not to say it would, or should make a live action movie (creative team is a huge issue) But in your guys opinion if you were made the casting director of it; who would you cast? Ariel-Sierra Boggess. I just love her in broadway role, and I think she looks young enough to be a teenager Eric-Sean Maher. Need I go into explination for this? XD I used to be about Brandon Routh, who I still wouldn't mind. But Sean is WAY too perfect. Ursula- I'd really like to see Faith Prince in her role, but call me crazy, but Sharon Stone (computer graphics needed) could give a could Ursula persona. Sebastian- Samuel E Wright. He'd have to be computer animated so I think no one's better than he to provide the voice. Flounder- Trevor Braun, he's so adorable. <3 Triton- hmmm... How about Mel Gibson? All he'd need to do to get into character is replace Jews with humans XD LOL! Actually I dunno who'd I'd cast for him. Grimsby-Hard time coming up with someone for him, but I adore Steve Martin. He really is very versatile as an actor, and I think he'd play off Sean well, and vice versa

Don't give up on Brandon! I am terribly biased towards him (he's my sad celebrity crush), but I could totally see Sean too... I think for Triton I see someone more like Kevin Kline (who I just love). I think he has a little more gravitas than Mel Gibson, and he hasn't gone crazy either... And, in a perfect world, I think Ian McKellan would be Grim. He'd never do it, well....maybe. He was both an X-Men villain and a wizard from Middle Earth; he might be open minded enough to be the advisor of prince in love with a mermaid.

Yes, Ian McKellan would be an awesome Grimsby!
I too agree with Sean Maher as Eric. And Sierra as Ariel and Samuel E. Wright as Sebastien. He is the only Sebastien as far as I'm concerned.
Triton's not so easy. Not sure I agree with Mel Gibson. He is a good actor, but I just don't see him in that type of role.
Not sure about Flounder. Not really up on current kid actors.

LOL! I was kidding about Mel Gibson XD. (I did like the Passion when it came out, and thought it was a more gutsy and realistic take on the story of Christ. But my opinion of that man has gone WAY down since his drunk rant where he said those horrible and untrue things about the Jewsish community, while putting himself into a position to kill somebody. Not to mention the CHEATING!) I LOVE Kevin Kline though! He's another versatile one! Beautiful singing voice too. If Triton was going to sing that is. Ian McKellan IS awesom, but he seems a bit old for that part to me. I forgot Nessa! Nadia Bjorlin would be great. Just look at this picture. Vanessa doesn't have to be a singer, she only needs Ariel's voice to lipsync XD images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/Nadia-Bjorlin-sp01.jpg

She IS a perfect Vanessa.
I thought Passion was very well done too. There was a huge hoopla here in my town where the editor of the newspaper got all bent out of shape about it because there's no way it could have been historically accurate. He must have slept through the part of history class that covered the savageness and brutality of the Roman empire and the armpit posting for the worst of the worst known as Jerusalem.

Yeah, human beings haven't always been very nice to eac other. LOL. Like the Saw movies (I ONLY liked the first one, which had the most story and the least violence. I'm not much for gore anyway) but what they use as the torture devices are based on REAL inventions that have been used in different types of culture. That's what scares me, is that it wasn't made up for a movie, people can just BE that sick. ::shudders::
But yeah Nadia deffinately looks like she would have that underlying darkness, but is so pretty that no one would acuse her of it. XD

This is a very good question, and an interesting idea. I will have to get back to you on that one, but all I can say is that the animal characters, need to just be voiced by the original voice actors.

With the exceptions of Flounder and Scuttle, for obvious reasons, I agree with you there.

But Sean Maher would probably be good( even though right now I'm in love with Sean Palmer and can't see anyone else as Eric XD ). I think that Ian McKellan would be the perfect Grimsby. I'm not sure who to pick for Triton. Kevin Kline might work--he's awesome!
