Blonde Belle? *Beep*Does not compute*Beep*.
Bret Shuford had a blonde wig. I'm thinking that might be because all the human males at the end have Eric's hairstyle, so maybe they just had him use his own wig. If he became the regular actor maybe they'd make him a new black one.

Eric can't be a blond!
However, I can see a Russian Belle being blonde. Blond hair is very common in Russia, moreso than brunette. Still kind of wrong, even though I understand why they would have made the change.
Sean is 38? I didn't knew he was that old. I do love him, but I know there's someone out there who can do it better.

LOL. But I don't think they should change a character's appearance in that way. I mean, Belle isn't Russin, she's French and it's just so her personality to be a brunette. I know that there are intelligent blondes, my sister for one, is WAY smarter than I am. But I don't like the change.
And yes, Eric needs black hair! I mean the purpose of wearing a wig is to LOOK like the character. I would be an insanely picky casting director, since I love his eyebrows too LOL

Certain characters do have a certain image but one thing I do like about Mermaid is how diverse the cast is At least one of Eric's understudies is African American, as is Cicily Daniels who's gone on for Ursula.

Don't get me wrong I think it's awesome to mix things up, but if I love a character and have come to see them a certain way, then I don't really want that to change. Example: if you got a beautiful and talented girl to play Jasmine, but portrayed her with blonde hair and blue eyes- it would annoy me. LOL

I sincerely hope they don't make Eric blonde. I mean, I don't think little kids would recognize him. They'd probably think he's like the human form of Beast or something XD.

Heh. What some of us are reffering to is that Bret Shuford, who understudies Eric, is blonde in real life, and as Eric wears a blonde wig.
My theory (and hope) is that Bret's male human ensamble guy wig(s) is/are the same as the one(s) he uses when he goes on as Eric, and if he or another actor gets the part full-time if/when Sean leaves, they'll have him wear a dark wig and dye his eyebrows.

Ah, so that would make sense. I saw him on Youtube as an understudy for Eric, and I did like his voice, but the wig threw me off.

I know I already talked to Kelly about this guy, but *le sigh* he would have made a lovely Eric. It's Oliver Tompsett. He plays Fiyero in the London production of Wicked. I looked him up on Youtube, He's a really good performer, he seems very sweet during Yero's "Eric" moments as I call him with Elphie. And he has a nice strong male voice that doesn't kill you with with testosterone lolz. Oh, and did I mention he was pretty? XD  |

I have to say that Chelsea and Drew, LOOK-WISE, match Ariel and Eric better XD younger and cuter looking. but voice-wise...well, can't say much for Drew XD but I listened to this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ystg201uds0of Chelsea's Beyond My Wildest Dreams, and I just don't think that she can compare to Sierra. She has a LOVELY voice, don't get me wrong (I did like her Part of Your World), but Sierra was just so wonderfully in character @_@! I wish Sierra and and Sean were on the tour =( |
