I saw TLM after Thanksgiving 2008 and just smiled as I couldn't believe to be here, watching it with 99% of the original cast. Sierra Boggess was amazing as Ariel. Sherie Rene Scott got loads of cheers and applauses during the performance I went to. ;D

I loved it!! Saw it just after the stagehands' strike ended in 2007, so it was a little rough around the edges and the lack of rehearsal did show a bit.
The only thing I didn't like was what they turned Les Poissons in to. It just screamed Be Our Guest and to me it was completely out of place. If that hadn't been there I could honestly say I loved every last minute of it.
Bought the cast recording before I even saw it, or pre-ordered it rather. I listen to it all the time.

Seen it twice now and loved it both times. There are some things form the movie I did miss, but there are parts of the musical I desperately wish could have been in the movie, so it all evens out.

LOL I always skip that "Les Poissons" in my ipod. Perhaps it wanted to homage BATB a bit after it left The Lunt Fontanne theater, I think. It's Alan Menken's doing XD !! "If Only"'s first chords first reminded me of parts of "Pocahontas"'s songs, but it's still one of my favorite songs in the musical. It always makes me cry and sing along to it.

If Only was hands-down my new favorite. The way they staged it was just perfection. She's In Love is my other fave. I always sing along with that one.

I saw it in January and I loved it! Chelsea Morgan Stock was Ariel though. She did a good job, but I really wanna see Ariel.

Sherie Rene Scott got loads of cheers and applauses during the performance I went to. ;D Same with when I went, the audience loved her! As did I. I saw the show back in February 2008 and Altho I was disappointed with the overall look (TLM deserves a bit more detail than a modern nouveau blandness, and how but some friggin set pieces!!) I loved the script and the actors where perfect. I really loved when flotsam and jetsam scared flounder away after Ariel planned to run away when Triton destroyed the grotto and Ariel's left standing there with her shell bag looking around for him thinking he flaked out "Flounder? I'm running away now..." And the ending, with Triton and Ariel before the finale...too cute! So lovable and really perfect for the show. I'm glad they focused on the parent/child relationship and how they mentioned Ariel's mother. I'd love to see the new cast, especially Faith Prince as Ursula. Unfortunately it was because my sister was going to school in New York that I even had a chance. Hopefully it will travel around and I'll be able to see it again in a couple years (I'll be keeping my fingers crossed they will have spiced up the look a bit).

Yes, same thing with me. There were some things that I did miss from the movie but there were some parts in the musical that I wish appeared in the movie.
