Yeah, but what's funny is that you're both saying exactly the same thing, in the same way, sort of lol..
Exactly how would this exactly 'destroy' a board. Honestly, it's on a few other peoples I'm on, and it hasn't done anything. If someone actually gets hurt from debating, etc.., then they probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
I really hope you don't think I'm trying to start something, and make everyone mad, because I'm not.

I know you're not trying to start something Dan. And again we're not saying no debating of anything ever. We're saying don't start topics on hot-button issues that are likely to get people upset and not contribute to friendly discussion.
Let's go with Abortion: I'm for it, which makes me a soulless baby killer who will rot in hell. Or I'm against it, which makes me a sexist religious fanatic with no mind of my own.
You see how that kind of thing can create a really unpleasant atmosphere really fast?

That's only if someone with no control whatsoever actually reads it, and responds. A sensible person wouldn't think twice about you, no matter where your opinion lies. I'm for it as well, but even if I wasn't, I wouldn't jump on you, and attack you, for just an opinion. That's dumb.
Maybe one day, however, I guess I'll just stick to bashing Eric ;D

I'm glad that you feel that way but some poeple don't necessarily have that filter. So we're not going to go looking for trouble. Also if you notice I never said which was my actual opinion. I was just putting forth an example. As for Eric: Sweetie, you are outnumbered and outgunned. If you want to go down swinging however, be my guest.  Also please remember to bash him in a respectful way. LOL. |

True, however, it was hypothetically anyway. Mine was an example as well. I may be outnumbered, but remember numbers aren't always everything  Quality over quantity, etc... I have another suggestion, should I invade the Eric thread in the character section? Yes, no, or maybe? |

There's a special thingy with announcements where they show up in all the sub-boards. Also we have Atlantican Parliment. So I think we're more or less covered.

Here's another serious one, how about a contact thread? Meaning, a thread where we can put our best contact information, in case someone needs to get a hold of us. I know there's some of that when you click on someones name, but it doesn't include all choices, like Skype (which is awesome).

We admins can see everything you put on your profile, even if you hide it from everyone else. It's a good idea, but I don't really see a need for it at this point. No one should post more than they're comfortable with and that's why some people leave those boxes blank on their profile.

I for one wouldn't want my contact info that's not on my profile floating around on the Net. Anyone could see it and I'm not cool with that. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I agree with Coral. It's an internet safety issue. If you (anybody else) wants to give out Skype or any other info to an on-board friend you can do that via PM.

I didn't even say that 'everyone' should hand it out. Just a thread where people 'could' post their extra info if they want. I'm not forcing anyone to do so.
BTW, the internet safety stuff is about personal information, not contact information like email, etc...
But whatever, time for another suggestion, I th............well, back to the drawing board lol..
