AU Disney Ships?

Heya, since this is a staple at most boards, I thought I'd start one here, where I know the memebers here aren't well.... *beast voice* Stupid

LOL, So what different ships have you heard about in the Disney fandom that you love, or are interested by.

My latest one is Esmeralda and Norrington. Both are intelligent, passionate, and have a strong sense of justice but are on opposite sides almost completely! I do think though that they could come to an understanding and learn to love the other. They'd drive ach other crazy at first, but in the end I think they'd also strengthen each other too.

I'm certainly more comfortable discussing pairings here then in many other settings, since most of the members seem to have more sense regarding pairings then most (it seems that just tossing the names of several characters into a hat, shutting their eyes, and then picking out two (or three) names is how most folks come up with pairing ideas!).

So. Pairings aren't really something I just sit around thinking about, but I've had pple/or fan art turn me onto a couple (bad choice of words there, lol). Off the top of my head:

Hades/Eris (Dreamwork's Sinbad).

RPing at Fant has gotten me into Esmeralda/Cassim. They'd work as friends or lovers, IMO.

This is prolly going to seem weird, but... Quackerjack/Harley Quinn and Bushroot/Poison Ivy. I blame this on cute fan art. XD I mean, QJ would prolly treat Harley better then "Mr. J" does, and they're both kooky sorts with wild senses of humor. As for the latter, well, someone described Poison Ivy as being the Jessica Rabbit to Bushroot's Roger Rabbit. And of course, there's their obvious similarities: the love of plants, wanting to protect said plants and willing to do anything to do so, etc.

Yeah, it's weird... I'll go sit in a corner now. *shuffles off*

I love Esme/Norry and am getting addicted to them fairly quickly xD

I need to see Sinbad and one of these days I will soon!

I like Cassim and Esme as a pair or friends. They would work well together. I'd like to see that dynamic played out a bit ^^.

I sadly don't know who either one of those haracter are Nicole Dx. But I do trust your judgement most of the time

I actually haven't seen the first Pirates film in a good while, and honestly, after seeing the sequel, I had no interest in checking out the third one, so I can't really offer an opinion on Norry/Esme. But I trust your judgment. XD

It's a decent film. I don't like it as much The Road To El Dorado or The Prince Of Egypt, but you should give it a chance.

Well, keep an eye on the 'Enchantment Runs Rampant' thread over there. Hopefully there'll be lots of Esme/Cassim interaction. XD

Normally, I do not like AU Disney ships but I always like Nakoma/Koccum. Nakoma seems to like Koccum a lot because how she described him being "so handsome." From watching the movie, Koccum seems to have more chemistry with Pocahontas. If it weren't for Koccum's death, he should marry Nakoma while Pocahontas stays with John Smith!


Hey fridamoonbeam! Do you remember the Parent Trap?
If Eric and Aladdin were long-lost twins in the movie, who would be their mother? (since their dad would obviously be Cassim). I'm thinking Carlotta what do you think?

That's an interesting idea you've come up with Faya Though honestly, I don't think I could actually buy Eric and Al being full blood brothers. Or Carlotta being their mom.

Why does Eric have blue eyes, less exotic feature and has lighter skin? Also if Carlotta was their mohter then that would mean she was either a princess that was forced into being a maid after she had a thing with Cassim. Or she was a maid that had an affair with him and had her boys taken by the royal family, even then, how did Cassim get Al? All things you need to ask

The Nakoma/Kocoum (sp?) thing makes me chuckle. I remember my sister saying that she thought Nakoma and Thomas should date.

Yeah, you're right. Eric and Aladdin would make sense being half-brothers, not full brothers. I was thinking that in the present day, their story would be similar to how the girls met in "the Parent Trap." (Only except they won't kill each other for "stealing my face!" ) I could also picture them trying to save Cassim from marrying his evil fiance. (I'm not sure who the evil fiance would be though, but she has to be a disney villian).

This needs further exploration. I don't think any of the major female villains would be willing to marry someone who's as smart and resourceful as Cassim. Are there any minor characters with an evil bent that would consider doing that to get something? (Ya'll are a lot more up on recent movies than I am! I haven't seen any animated movies after Pocahontas)

OOh, I agree with those Jess. And I think you're onto something Faya with that idea . You can have it be that they had Eric work on his tan and have them get contacts to change their eye color.

I think I could see Cassim with Vanessa before Cruella. I think Cruella might give him the willies to be honest, and once she tries to turn Iago into some coat accessory, it'd be over before it ever began.

Saleen might work too.

Good call, Nicole! OOh, I LOVE the idea of Saleen since she's the least obvious evil of all of them. Also she was really greedy and posessive of men she wanted.

Saleen would work. She could be trying to marry Cassim. Like the "Parent Trap," Eric and Aladdin have to create traps to make Cassim and Saleen break up.

here's the disney AU crossover ships I support. there's also some non-disney AU ships i support too, but I won't list the here since they are off-topic.

-aladdin/esmeralda=They are both kind-hearted, street-wise, rebellious to corrupt officals,generous, and self-reliant. they ahve a lot in common and in their case it would help their relationship grow because of that

-vanessa/gaston= He likes attractive women and vanessa is attractive. they are both evil,,dishonest, and tenaticious. villians belong with villianess in my opinion. I'm not a fan of heroine/villian or hero/villianess, but there is however one heroine/villian ship i like but it's not a disney one though.

-wilbur/violet= These two would be adorable as couple, their relationship would be pretty fluffy but i still love them together anyway

-hercules/ariel=They are both naive, brave, and dumb(i'm not hating on them but i fell that both are dumb), and they would have relationship that's angsty and fluffy at the same time since hercules would probaly be gone often due to mission which'll probaly stress out ariel. but when he comes back everything good again

-jane/milo=They are both highly intelligent so they would do well together as a couple

-alice/peter=same reason as wilbur and violet, but i don't love them as much as wilbur and violet because i can see peter upsetting alice occasionally

-helga/clayton=they are both villians, and they are greedy, manipulative, and they use others to get what they want.

-pocahontas/tarzan=they both are daring, reckless, and resourcful

-Jim/audrey= they are both rebelious,tough, roudy, and trouble-making teens

-frollo/lady tremaine= they are both cruel, cold-hearted, selish and old

-hades/maleficent= they date in one house peisode was cute, and hades likes evil, fiery women, and maleficent is evil and firey

-megara/eric= like what you were saying frida, eric is similar to hercules, but i find him more compatible with meg than hercules is since he's less naive in hercules but very kind, and meg like nice guys who aren't womanizers.

Couples I like but i can't explain why i like them together though

Hmm...I don't really have any except maybe Mozenrath/Jasmine. I prefer Al and Jas but I mean, come on--see what the writers were trying to do here? XD. I don't necessarily like them together but the idea of him trying to get her to fall in love with him is hilarious. Sadira/Moze is totally meant to be.
