I am the dumbest person. Ever. I'm just having the worst day in a really long time.
You know those absent-minded ditzy girls who leave their purses on the tops of their cars and then drive away?
Yeah. That was me driving home from school this afternoon. I tried calling my cell phone but it hasn't worked, and I retraced my entire route, finding nothing. Not even a maimed pocketbook. Checked the school, checked the fracking police station.
MIA Inventory:
-My wallet (Thank God I emptied it out yesterday) -Driver's licence/school ID -My cell phone -Stephen King's "Duma Key" (Replaceable, but still....) -My planner -School book (which I may have to pay for now)
I'm sooooo glad I didn't bring my flash drives to school today. But...but...hit me, please. I'm an idiot. -passes out mallets and cries- There are worse things that could have happened, but I REALLY need to vent right now. -pulls out hair and shrivels into a puddle-

That's rough!
My cousin did that with his Bible once. Left it on top of the van. We were across the Mississippi River at my grandfather's church. We think the Bible ended up in the river when they crossed back to Louisiana. He never saw it again.
Maybe someone will find it.

Oh that sucks so much. I hope it gets found and returned.

Me too. The school offices were closed and lots of sports are going on late today, so I'm holding out that someone picked it up. Hopefully. My mom disabled the service on my cell phone after I got home, but worst case scenario is someone finds my cell phone and either sent some text messages from my number or read my text messages (which aren't too juicy/interesting). Changed my passwords on my e-mails since they could've been accessed from my cell phone, but otherwise it's a matter of replacing everything. And remembering what homework I still have to do. -is screwed for tomorrow-
ETA: Someone called my house and returned the purse (in excellent condition! Its contents are a little disheveled, but you really wouldn't know it had been lost.)
The reason I couldn't find it on my route was because it wasn't there! Someone had found the purse, stolen the $20 I left after emptying my wallet, and deemed the rest unworthy and tossed it into some bushes. Somebody else found it--whether or not she was the one who took the money, I don't know.
Why whoever stole the purse didn't want my phone, I won't know either. XD I guess now that ENV is up to model 3 or so, the original model is obsolete. But it works fine now and I'm happy to have it back. I'm never ever putting anything on top of my car again.

Actually, you didn't lose as much as you think. The books are replacable, and so is your license, and your phone. Basically, the phone is useless for other people, because you can shut your phone off, and unless they have your information, they can't turn it on. It's the same with credit/debit cards. Cheer up
