Once you have those stories started, don't forget to post in the fanfic forum.  I'd like a movie about Eric's past but I'd love a film that explored the time between the spinny kiss and wedding kiss. Them getting to know each other, and each other's worlds, maybe with an adventure or two. that would be really sweet to see. |

-nods- Yep, it would! Don't quote me on this but I think I've read only one spinny-wedding kiss fic, and it got abandoned right after the chapter with the wedding. Booo. Any others within that time frame either don't span all the way or I can't name them at the moment. XP There's so much you can do with that time frame that I wonder why I don't see more of those. I'm not a huge fan of "Eric visits Atlantica"-centric plots, but if someone did enough research and gave the story another purpose, it'd be a great read. Of course I point to A Human in King Triton's Court as a good example!

Aquisha's are the only "spinny kiss to wedding kiss" ones that I've read. And A Human In King Triton's Court is just awesome!
I'm also working on an Eric in Atlantica fic and he's there for the same reason as in Aquisha's, but everything else that happens is something I'm not too sure many people have even thought about it. It's very different and I'm sure you'll all be surprised with where I take it! Well, except for Jess because she already knows all about it.

First, I'm sorry for my extended absence. I graduate from college tomorrow and the whole process has been more time-consuming than anything else I've ever experienced! So, sorry I haven't been around that much.
Thanks guys! I'm glad you like AHIKTC! It wasn't a scenario I thought I'd ever work with, but I guess you never know what you'll be driven to write!
My plan with the whole Fathoms, Two Weddings, AHIKTC block of stories is that they are a part of a massive work of what happens between the spinny kiss and the birth of their first child. Hopefully, one day it will come into glorious fruition; I have so many ideas for what could have happened in that time. I really wish more people would tackle that time period; it's just up for grabs and there's so much you can do with it!
Coral, I can't wait to read that story! There are just so many plot possibilities floating around this forum...I'm so excited to read them!

I can't wait to read that story too, Coral! As a nature freak I appreciate it when people take all the life/quirks of the ocean into account. This fandom both needs and deserves more good!fic that doesn't make Eric such a stock character! -shakes fist-

::snicker:: What I can picture for an Eric/Belle fic is; for Eric at one point set off one of Maurice's inventions and have it go haywire. He'd try to fix, or stop it, then set another machine off LOL! Randomness! Congrats hun!  And of course I LOVE AHIKTC! |

LOL. How true that is.
Oh! Another thought I had about a possible Hercules crossover is that Hades finally came out of the swirling pool of souls after thousands of years of trying and is not happy. Then when he gets out he sees a big octo-woman has been "called home"
Hades and Ursula would have some UH-MAZ-ING banter. I can imagine they'd conspire in that time too XD
But what could happen is that the planets aligned again when Eric and Ariel fought Ursula, for the first time since Hercules and Megara fought Hades (Yes, they were teams imho LOL) And well the gods may see it fit that since Eric being the last of Hercules mortal blood line receives a gift too, which Hercules could get to personaly deliver to him. Could be a funny scene of how those four would meet up.
But later on Eric would have a hard time ajusting to his new talent, and trying to control it while feeling somewhat reluctant since he has low self worth.

I could totally see Eric as Herc and Meg's decedent. His personality is more Herc, but with some of Meg's unflappability and self-deprecating humor.
Also my villain ships are totally Hades/Ursula and Jafar/Malificient. (Hasula? Ursades? Jaficient? Malefar?)

Seriously, if only for Meg and Hades. The spin-off series with Herc in high school isn't half-bad either. No Meg, but they do have a similar character in Cassandra. Plus Jodi (Ariel Jodi, not Frida Jodi) is Helen of Troy.

Love Hades/Ursula, though now I want to find that Vanessa/Gaston that was roaming around deviantART...
-blinks- I don't think I've ever seen any Eric/Vanessa on deviantART. I don't really ship them, but I do love those scenes where she hypnotized Eric. As it's been said in many other threads, was it magic or the voice that consumed him the most? I'd like to think it was the latter.
Aaaanyway, here's a topic off the beaten path: we see very little of Eric's kingdom during the film. We don't even see much of the palace and its grounds. How big do you think the kingdom is (assuming it isn't an actual place) and what's the unseen scenery like? I'm sure the places Eric showed Ariel meant a lot to him, but was there more?

I think it's an island in the Mediterranean, and as such has some tropical features and also some features that would be very similar to Sicily or Crete. Architecture is heavily influenced by Italian design.

Big surprise, but I agree with Coral. I could also maybe see it as an island in the Caribbean or something, provided it was originally settled by people from Italy or an Italian-like country. Like at one point it was a colony of Maybe-Italy, but then given to a younger royal child as a country to be ruled in its own right.

So Frida and I were chatting and surprise, we happened to get on the subject of Eric. Particularily that something interesting about him was that while he's a very nice sweet guy in most situations, when pushed to the brink he's gets very serious very fast.
We also said that we could see him, after some kind of tragedy, perhaps, ending up in a darker place than you might expect. Now ,anyone who'se read BSS knows that I perscribe to this theory, but I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks.

Indeed, Eric gets into beast!mode pretty fast.
What specifically? Daemon's literally Eric in a darker place...sort of...
Well, there's three things most important to him:
1. Sailing/The Ocean/What it symbolizes
2. Max
3. (three guesses) Ariel
Take any of them away and there's bound to be trouble. But what specific things were you going at? Like, how would he be affected or what would happen?
